Traditional Lacrosse
Traditional Lacrosse is a Native American owned and operated, wooden lacrosse stick manufacturer based in the Akwesasne Mohawk Nation.
Owner,Evan Cree, has played lacrosse his whole life and now carries on the tradition of making wooden sticks. Lacrosse is in his blood, his great grandfather owned and operated a lacrosse stick company on Cornwall Island, Akwesasne, which once manufactured 90% of the world’s wooden lacrosse sticks. Evan learned how to make traditional Mohawk lacrosse sticks from an elder and it grew into a thriving business. Mixing modern techniques with traditional methods each stick is handcrafted from hickory and finished with netting, stringing and even custom engravings.
Among the nine different sizes of wooden lacrosse sticks that Traditional Lacrosse manufactures they also specialize in custom trophies, awards, ornaments and custom engravings.
Traditional Lacrosse also offers in-person tours, From Log to Lacrosse Stick: A Factory Tour of Lacrosse Stick Making and virtual tours Mohawk Tour From Log To Lacrosse Stick.
