Set on a verdant island in the St. Lawrence River, the Thompson Island Cultural Camp is an immersive, multifunctional facility offering a unique view of Akwesasne. The eco-cultural camp connects visitors with nature and Akwesasne culture in a tranquil setting. Visitors can enjoy canoeing, medicine walks, traditional foods, and other cultural demonstrations. The camp has multiple accommodations including bunk houses with multiple beds and more private cabins. Group overnights and retreats can be arranged, and can include meals cooked onsite in its spacious kitchen, which also doubles as a space for cooking demonstrations.
